This six week course will guide you through the fundamentals of glaze chemistry and a series of experiments that will help you understand, alter and optimize your own cone 6 glazes.
Topics will range from glaze composition and materials, altering colourants and surface textures, specialty glazes, troubleshooting problems, application techniques, firing schedules, safety and more.
Prior experience with clay is preferred and all students must bring their own N95 respirator. Additional cost for material fee is $25.
Note: This class must meet the minimum enrollment of 6 participants to run.
