Class Schedule

Week 1 & 2: Throwing Demos
We will jump on the wheel and practice making bowls and cylinders, that can be turned into just about anything!

Prefer to handbuild each week? Potters can opt to tackle self-guided slab-building projects instead, with instructor guidance each class.

Week 3: Trimming Demo
Learn various techniques for finishing pots after throwing them on the wheel, adding handles, spouts and embellishments.

Week 4: Handbuilding with Slabs
Use up the last of your clay to create plates, platters and tall vases that might otherwise be tricky on the wheel!

[We take a 1 week break in order to prepare for the glaze class]

Week 5: Glaze
Learn how to prepare pots for glazing and experiment with different colour combinations and techniques. All your pieces will come out of the kiln food-safe and ready to use!
