Join throwing expert Ed Vanderbaaren to hone your throwing skills and take them up a notch! You might not bring home a pot, but we guarantee you you will become a better potter.

This weekly course will dive into 5 weeks of intense pottery drills on the wheel, for the purpose of practice, precision and learning. Ed will teach you:

• How to gain height when pulling up (Taking cross-section cuts of your pots to gain insight)
• Maximize and stretch small amounts of clay to the limit
• Master pulled handles
• Make pots that don’t need to be trimmed
• ... and much much more!

Firings are not included, unless a member of the CSC or an ongoing KCP student.

Born and raised in Brockville, Ed Vanderbaaren’s artistic journey took an unconventional path that lead him to clay in 1973. In 2011, he established his ceramic studio making production wares and sculptures that focus on the intricate dance of potting and painting, glaze and form.
